Funeral services for Margaret Sullivan, 99, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Sunday, Dec. 12, at First Baptist Church in Bainbridge with the Revs. Paul Medley and Jean Watson officiating.
Interment followed in Oak City Cemetery with Harry Sullivan, Robbie Baggs, John Parker, Will Parker, Tyler Rafferty and Joe Bostick Jr. serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Sullivan was born May 20, 1911, in Mitchell County, Ga., and died Dec. 10, 2010, at Memorial Hospital and Manor.
She worked as a sales associate in women’s apparel for many years. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge and the Fidelis Sunday school class. She loved to work in her garden and cook, especially canning and freezing. She also loved to quilt and crochet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Sullivan; her parents; children, Hilda Jane Sullivan and Hollis Sullivan; a brother and five sisters.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Janette Sullivan; grandchildren, Gina Skinner of Winder, Ga., Gary Sullivan of Dahlonega, Ga., Shari Rafferty of Arden, S.C., and six great-grandchildren.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
