West Bainbridge Elementary School third-grade students and teachers enjoyed an on-site field trip to their science lab on Tuesday, Nov. 30. Representatives from Chehaw Park in Albany brought their animals to the school as a part of “The Home Sweet Home” program and provided an awesome experience for students to get “up close and personal” with some real live Georgia animals including the great horned owl, the gopher tortoise and the corn snake. The Chehaw educator who presented the program to WBE students did a terrific job of gearing her presentation to match the third-grade habitat standards.
