A solid roar on both ends of lake

Thanksgiving week was a rite exciten week for the hunters, both duck and deer.

Someone sed he’d shot and got a wild pig while duck hunting Saterday was a solid roar from one end of the lake to the other. They may not have killed any but they burnt up some shells.

If one wants to fish minnows now, he must leave the lake and go up into the coves where the water doesn’t move around. Now they will hit jigs in the moving water and sometimes they won’t. Crappie is a  fish when he wants to be. Put it rite on his nose and he won’t take it.

The Swine Time Saterday was a great success as far as crowds were concerned. Don’t know if they spent money, I know I took home some kumquats, six bottles of syrup, a big bag of peanut brittle and a plate of pure chitlins. The church that’s been doing the guts quit now and a man named Hall is the prime gut man.  They were prime guts too!

To me, the three courthouses on the Climax Swine Time grounds is a big assett to the grounds.  Lots of work has been done on the grounds since last year. Thank goodness the hellecopter weren’t there this year. There was someone handing out pine walking sticks for donations. Near everyone had one.

I left there at 11:30, froze mite nigh to death, got home, cut the truck off and got under my lectric blanket for two hours of snoozen.

On Tuesday, Nov. 30, Joyce and I were married 58 years. Seems like it was yesterday.
