Graveside services for Annie Lois King, 83, of Tallahassee, Fla., were held Thursday, Nov. 4, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.

She was born Aug. 16, 1927, in Decatur County and died Nov. 1, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was a secretary with the State of Florida, and also had worked for Sprint, from which she retired. She loved to cook and bake and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas King; her parents, James M. and Rachel Bailey Thompson, and three brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Mason of Tallahassee; brothers, Edward Thompson of Bainbridge and Joseph Thompson or Ormond Beach, Fla.; a sister, Nell Hendley of Bainbridge; two grandchildren; an unofficially adopted grandson; a step-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Abbey Funeral Home in Tallahassee was in charge of the arrangements.
