Mary Odom

Funeral services for Mary Odom, 78, of Donalsonville, will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at Donalsonville Church of God.
Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville. Active casketbearers will be Jackie Smith, Raymond Mathis, Clint Smith, Ricky Smith, Stanley Enfinger and Michael Smith.
Mrs. Odom was born in Donalsonville on July 6, 1932, and died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at her residence. She attended Donalsonville Church of God. She worked in retail at Thomas 5 and 10 and managed Bills Dollar Store for more than 26 years. After retirement, she worked part time at Dollar General.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Green and Ammie Elkins Smith; her husband, Herbert “Bud” Odom; three brothers, Samuel Smith, Travis Smith and Bernice Smith, and two sisters, Joyce Skiles and Jean Mathis.
She is survived by three sons, Billy Odom, Steve “Puppy” Odom and Wayne Odom, all of Donalsonville; a daughter, Anne Stark of Donalsonville; one grandson Reed Stark; two brothers, Ray Smith of Winder, Ga., and James Smith of Jesup, Ga.
