Bainbridge police have arrested a 52-year-old man for alleged sexual crimes against a 20-year-old man.

David Mickey Summerlin, 52, of 115 Thomas St., Bainbridge, was arrested Wednesday evening and charged with aggravated sexual battery, sexual assault and sodomy in connection with an incident that was alleged to have occurred last Saturday night, Sept. 4.

According to a Bainbridge Public Safety incident report, the 20-year-old victim reported that Summerlin had called him Saturday night asking him if he wanted to work. Summerlin picked the young man up at his residence and took him to Coot’s Barbeque, located on East Water Street in downtown Bainbridge.

Once they were there, the victim reported Summerlin—a former employee of the restaurant, according to BPS—locked both of the business’ doors. The victim stated Summerlin threatened him with a kitchen knife and then sexually assaulted him.
