Funeral services for Edna Mae Mitchell, 43, of Albuquerque, N.M., were held Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Traveler’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Whigham, Ga., with the Pastor Golden Sheppard.

Interment followed in the church’s cemetery with friends of the family serving as active pallbearers.

Born Feb. 3, 1967, in Attapulgus, Ms. Mitchell died on Aug. 8, 2010, at a hospital in Albuquerque, N.M.

Survivors include two brothers, Charlie and Willie Mitchell Jr.; two sisters, Barbar Mitchell and Polly Cox; and a host of other family and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
