Funeral services for Mrs. Tommie Glisson Guy, 78, of Marianna, Fla., were held Friday, Aug. 6, at the First United Methodist Church in Marianna with Jill Wallace and Lavon Pettis officiating.

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

Born April 15, 1932, in Jackson County, Fla., Mrs. Guy died on Aug. 4, 2010, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Fla.

Mrs. Guy was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, served as manager of Sears for a number of years and worked for the State of Florida. Most recently, she was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Marianna.

She is survived by her husband, Dempsey Guy of Marianna; two sons, Dennis Guy of Marianna and Greg Guy of Bainbridge, Ga.; two sisters, Johnnie Williams and Florice Williams, and six grandchildren.

James & Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
