Bertha Tatum

A memorial service for Bertha Ena Black Tatum, 91, of Fort Gaines, Ga., were held Sunday, July 4, at Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Fort Gaines with the Rev. Ralph Estes officiating.
Interment followed in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Born Sept. 27, 1918, in Newton, Ga., Mrs. Tatum died on Friday, July 2, 2010, at Fort Gaines Nursing Home in Fort Gaines, Ga.
Mrs. Tatum was the retired owner and clerk of Tatum Grocery Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Tatum.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Sanders of Fort Gaines, Ga.; four sisters, Louise Davis and Audrey Faircloth, both of Bainbridge, and Othelia Suggs and Tammy Taylor, both of Donalsonville, Ga.; two brothers, Harvin Black and Robert Black, both of Bainbridge; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
