A graveside memorial service for Eddie McCalvin, 66, of Donalsonville, Ga., was held Monday, June 7, at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, Ga.

Born July 30, 1943, in Donalsonville, Mr. McCalvin died on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. McCalvin attended school in Seminole County and worked with several farmers in the community.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Collis McCalvin.

Survivors include a sister, Donna McCalvin Watt of Simpsonville, S.C.; a brother, Mitchell McCalvin of Tacoma, Wash.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of arrangements.
