Funeral services for Bobby L. Brock, 74, of Bainbridge, were Friday, June 4, at Delwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Hall officiating.
Interment followed at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery with Lloyd Palmer, Lee Palmer, Paul Palmer, Brock Howard, Blake Howard and Chase Jordan serving as active pallbearers.
Born Jan. 31, 1936, in Bainbridge, Mr. Brock died on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at his residence.
He was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1953, and of Abraham-Baldwin Agricultural College. He owned and operated Woodbery Tractor Company for many years. He was a member of Delwood Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. Brock served on the Decatur County Board of Education from 1981 to 1986 and was a member of the Decatur County Farm Bureau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Lee Brock and Lucille Wooten Brock Avery.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, JoAnn Darley Brock of Bainbridge; three daughters, Kay B. Palmer of Tallahassee, Fla., Leasa B. Howard of Tallahassee, Fla., and Nan B. Jordan of Bainbridge; four brothers, Devon Brock of Camilla, Daniel Avery of Williamsburg, Va., and Billy Brock and Andrew Avery Jr., both of Bainbridge; and nine grandchildren.
