Funeral services for McArthur Phillips, 73, of Thomasville, Ga., were held Tuesday, April 27, in the chapel of Allen and Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville. Interment followed in Pine Grove Baptist Church in Quincy, Fla.

Born on November 26, 1936 in Blountstown, Fla., Mr. Phillips passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville.

Mr. Phillips was raised by the late Cellie and Annie Shepard. He worked in furniture manufacturing.

Survivors include a son, Arthur Durl Phillips of Bainbridge; three daughters, Linda Colvin and her husband Henry of Boston, Ga., Nancy Phillips of Bainbridge and Darlene Phillips of Boston; two brothers, Clyde and Roland Phillips; a sister, Louise Phillips; six grandchildren, Robin Phillips, Scottie and Michael Huffman, Danielle Dollar, Daniel Phillips and Jacob Hawthorne; and 11 great grandchildren.

Allen and Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville was in charge of arrangements.
