Funeral services for Bonnie Lou Helms Church Mills, 71, of Columbia, Ala., were held Wednesday, April 7, in the chapel of Colquitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Schiender officiating.

Interment followed in Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 91 South with Floyd Hamm, Clay Hamm, Mitch Knight, Roger Helms, Chris Helms, Brian Helms, Joey Helms and Brad Helms serving as active pallbearers.

Born Nov. 7, 1939, in Baker County, Ms. Mills died on Sunday, April 4, 2010, at her residence.

Ms. Mills was a private care nurse’s aide. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by a brother, Kenneth Helms.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Feltman of Columbia, Ala.; three brothers, Joe Helms of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Danny Helms of Colquitt, Ga., and Ricky Helms of Climax, Ga.; two sisters, Betty Hawthorne of Whigham, Ga., and Linda Duke of Eldorendo, Ga.; three grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.

Colquitt Funeral Home in Colquitt, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
