Funeral services for Katrina “Trina” Joneka Jones, 36, of Miami, Fla., were held March 31, in the chapel of Gregg L. Mason Funeral Home in Miami with Gregg L. Mason officiating.

Interment followed in Open Pond Cemetery in Climax.

Born Jan. 16, 1974, in Dade County, Fla., Ms. Jones died on March 25, 2010, at Aventura Hospital in Miami, Fla.

Ms. Jones was educated in the public schools of Miami-Dade County. She graduated from Central High School in 1992. She pursued a degree at Miami Dade Community College. Later in life, she became certified in child care. During her life, Ms. Jones worked at a variety of jobs. At the YMCA, she was a child care teacher. She later worked out of her home.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Edwards of Climax; a son, Denzel Hagins of Miami; a daughter, Dana Hagins of Miami; nine sisters, Cassandra Taylor, Angelia Taylor, Jacqueline Bowman, Carol Underwood, Cheryl Nero, Towanda Jones, Angelina Callaway, Sharon Jones and Alice Williams, all of Miami; three brothers, Joel Jones of Ozark, Ala., George Nolom Jones and John W. Beamon, both of Miami; a special friend, Mickey Antoine of Miami; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
