Funeral services for Thelma Perkins, 81, of Damascus, Ga., will be Friday, March 19, at 1 p.m. at Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Bishop Jim Williams officiating.

Internment will follow at Damascus cemetery with grandsons swerving as pallbearers.

Born on May 28, 1928, in Palmetto, Fla., Mrs. Perkins died on March 12, 2010, at Dothan Medical Center.

She was an inspector. Mrs. Perkins was a member of the Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Willie Perkins; a daughter, Betty J. Sutton; a sister, Corene Robinson, 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Bruton Mortuary is in charge of services.
