Funeral services for Christine Barber Boyett, 81, of Climax will be held Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Cox-Ware Funeral Home, with Pastor Stanley Phillips officiating.

Interment will follow in Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Terril Scott, Larry Barber, Jerome Barber, Chris Barber, Frank Bowen and Preston Bowen serving as active pallbearers.

Visitation will be held immediately following the service.

Born Nov. 29, 1928, in Decatur County, Mrs. Boyett died on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010.

Mrs. Boyett was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. She was a retired seamstress and had worked for Jack Winter for 25 years and retired from Cannon Cleaners in 2001. She loved sewing, flowers, farm life and was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Boyett was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Franklin Boyett; her daughter, Frankie Boyett Bowen.

She is survived by her brother, Therman Barber of Brinson; a sister, Waldine Scott of Brinson, and two grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
