Graveside funeral services for William E. Meredith Sr., 82, of Bainbridge, will be held Sunday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Allen Ware officiating.

Interment will be at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Brandon Meredith, Justin Meredith, Wayne Sykes, Meredith Avery, Larry Avery and Scott Connell serving as honorary pallbearers.

Born Feb. 14, 1927, in Bainbridge, Mr. Meredith died on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Memorial Manor.

Mr. Meredith was a machinist for Miller Hydro and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors and was a member of the VFW Post No. 4904. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Frances Meredith; and daughter, Fran Meredith Culp.

He is survived by two sons, William E. Meredith Jr. and Homer E. Meredith, both of Bainbridge; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
