Funeral services for Jo Helen Daniel Phinney, 88, of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

Born June 20, 1921, in Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Phinney died on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Phinney; her sister, June; and her brother, Fred Stuart.

Mrs. Phinney and her husband moved to Bainbridge in 1955 from Fort Worth, Texas. She was employed at Citizens Bank and Trust for many years, retiring there in the late 1980s.

Mrs. Phinney was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Sandy Phinney of Canton, Ga.; a sister-in-law, two grandsons, six great-grandchildren, six nieces, several cousins and other family and friends.
