A memorial service for Joyce Ann Smith Sexton Cardinal, 60, of Iron City, was held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Andy Glover officiating.

Born April 30, 1949, in Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Cardinal died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Ga.

Mrs. Cardinal was of the Baptist faith and worked as a cashier.

She was preceded in death by her father, Coley Morrel Smith, and a brother, Elmer “Butch” Greer.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Servis Smith Greer; a son, Michael Sexton of Crystal River, Fla.; a daughter, Gloria Wallen of Batesburg, S.C.; a brother, Ronald Smith of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Louise Kelly and Donna Pollock, both of Iron City, Ga., and Charlene Gorman of Stuart, Fla.; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., was in charge of the arrangements.
