Funeral services for Jessi King, 19, of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with the Revs. Earl Barron and Doug Chason officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Chris Bibby, Chad Dean, Wes Tillery, Tony Slaughter, Roy Mathews and David Braswell serving as active pallbearers.

Born Jan. 29, 1991, in Tallahassee, Fla., Ms. King died on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Ms. King was a freshman at Bainbridge College and a volunteer with the therapy program at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Johnson, and her paternal grandmother, Margaret King.

Survivors include her parents, Scott and Anita Johnson King of Bainbridge; her sister, Erin King of Bainbridge; her maternal grandmother, Mary Johnson of Leesburg, Ga., and her paternal grandfather, Benny King of Bainbridge.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
