Burtt named chief financial officer

Richard Monson, president and chief executive officer of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, announced that Ryan Burtt has been named the Association’s chief financial officer.

Burtt, who has served the Association for nearly six years, began his career at Farm Credit in the Secondary Mortgage Market Unit, and progressed to director of Credit Administration and director of Risk Management.

Burtt holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, and a master’s in business administration from Troy University in Troy, Ala.

The 26-year-old will oversee the accounting, operations and IT departments for the organization. A resident of Bainbridge, Burtt enjoys mountain biking and diving in his spare time.

Southwest Georgia Farm Credit is based in Bainbridge, Ga., and it serves 21 counties in Georgia and is part of the AgFirst Farm Credit district, which covers 15 eastern states and Puerto Rico.
