Funeral services for Julia Howell Barber, 95, of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow at Sylvania Cemetery in Faceville.

Born July 6, 1914, in Decatur County, Mrs. Barber died on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Barber was a retired teacher with the Decatur County School System. She was a member of the Decatur-Seminole County Retired Educators and a member of the Sylvania United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Lamar Barber.

Survivors include her son, Terry Barber of Bainbridge, and several nieces and nephews.

Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge is in charge of arrangements.
