A memorial service for Clara Belle King Stedtefeld, 93, of Bainbridge, formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will be held at a later date.

Born Sept. 17, 1916, in Buchanan, Va., Mrs. Stedtefeld died on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Bainbridge Healthcare.

Mrs. Stedtefeld was retired from working as a department supervisor at Burdine’s Department Store in Fort Lauderdale. She was involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Orchid Society. She was a member of First Christian Church in Bainbridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Earle E. Stedtefeld.

Survivors include Dennis Stedtefeld of Powder Springs, Ga., and Wesley Stedtefeld of Paintsville, Ky.; a sister, Ann Carter of Bethel, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
