A memorial service for Sidney Wallace Doster, 66, of Sautee Nacoochee, Ga., will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 3:30 p.m. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Marshall Singletary officiating.

Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service.

Born June 12, 1943, in Donalsonville, Ga., Mr. Doster died on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Laurel Baye Nursing Home in Buford, Ga.

Mr. Doster was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville. He retired from teaching construction at Miller County High School and had also worked for Delta Airlines. He was a homebuilder and had served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Doster of Sautee Nacoochee; a daughter, Jennifer Doster Mathis of Gainesville, Ga.; a granddaughter, Jenna Mathis of Gainesville; a brother, David Doster of Donalsonville; a sister, Martha Ann Hartsfield of Tallahassee, Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews and their families.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville is in charge of arrangements.
