Lillie Little

Funeral services for Lillie Bell Cox Little, 82, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Dec. 19, at New Salem Freewill Baptist Church with Archie Crews officiating.

Interment followed at Breedlove Cemetery with Mrs. Little’s nephews serving as active pallbearers.

Born Sept. 27, 1927, in Decatur County, Mrs. Little died on Dec. 11, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Little, also known by her loved ones as “Aunt Monk,” was a cosmetologist. She attended Union Normal School in Decatur County. She was an active member of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Little; and three brothers, Emory Cox, Arthur Cox and Willie Charles Cox.

Survivors include three daughters, Panella Breedlove of Bainbridge, and Ruby L. Flanders and Jimmie L. Richards, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
