Funeral services for Izial Sheffield Reed, 28, of Bainbridge, were held Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Jesus Christ Deliverance Church with Pastor Elder Addison officiating.

Interment followed in Pondtown Cemetery with Johnnie L. Bouie, Roy Byrd, David McKay, James Byrd, Tommy L. Smith Jr. and Marcus A. Stewart serving as active pallbearers.

Born Sept. 23, 1981, in Bainbridge, Mr. Reed died on Dec. 18, 2009, at Memorial Hospital after an illness.

Survivors include his father, Mr. Izial Sheffield; his mother, Catherine Sheffield; a sister, Beverly Reed; a brother, David Jones; two grandmothers, Ezra Sheffield of Colquitt and Mamie McKay of Bainbridge; a brother-in-law, Marcus Reed; a sister-in-law, Letitia Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jacobs Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
