Funeral services for Virginia Mae Hays Presswood, 80, of Enterprise, Ala., were held Sunday, Dec. 6 at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating.

Interment followed in the church’s cemetery with Louie Barr David King, Jimmy Anderson, Bryant Hatcher, Bill Brewer and Gordon Trawick serving as active pallbearers.

Born in Spring Garden, Ill., on May 9, 1929, Mrs. Presswood died on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Enterprise Health and Rehab in Enterprise, Ala.

She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and worked for a number of years at Donny Mills (USL).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland Presswood; three brothers, Kenneth Hays, Harold Hays and Raymond Hays; and two sisters, Loretta Moganthaler and Elsie Hays.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Beauchesne of Enterprise, Ala.; four sisters, Zelda Presswood, Wondola Hall, Laura Weatherford and Roberta Phillips; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
