Funeral services for Leroy West, 83, of Bainbridge, will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Webb officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Ga., with William Cook, Carlton Cook Jr., Jessie Nazworth, Alex Vela, Tommy High, Hardy Dollar, Billy Mcateer and Ben Barlow serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at the funeral home.

Born on Aug. 2, 1926, in Moultrie, Ga., Mr. West died on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial Hospital.

Mr. West was a maintenance worker for Lewis Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Thomas West; and his brother, James West.

Survivors include his wife of more than 40 years, Julie West of Bainbridge; a son, Timothy West of Bainbridge; daughters, Tammy Nazworth of Cairo, Vickie Lynn Cook of Bainbridge, Judy Rogers of Cairo, Becky Diane of Cairo and Kimberly Anglin of Bainbridge; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorene Wisham of Cairo; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Clark Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
