Funeral services for Earl E. Hudson, 89, of Bainbridge, were held Friday, Nov. 27, at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Edmond Howard officiating.
Interment followed in Benevolence Baptist Church Cemetery in Cuthbert, Ga., with Mr. Hudson’s friends and family serving as active pallbearers.
Born March 30, 1920, in Stewart County, Ga., Mr. Hudson died on Nov. 20, 2009, in Whigham, Ga.
Mr. Hudson attended the schools of Stewart County, Ga. He was employed at Aragon Farms for many years, until his health began to fail. He was a member of John the Baptist Church in Decatur County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie L. Hudson; as well as eight siblings.
Survivors include his daughter, Dorothy Hudson Battle of Bainbridge; his son, Larry Hudson of Lithonia, Ga.; two sisters, Samantha Smith of Ohio and Willie A. Barnes of New Jersey; two brothers, John H. Hudson of Richland, Ga., and James T. Hudson of Ohio; a sister-in-law, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
