Funeral services for Walter Joseph Hasty, 86, of Bascom, Fla., were held on Friday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with Pastor Mike Adams officiating.

Interment followed in Conrad Cemetery in Bascom, Fla.

Born in Jackson County, Fla., on July 11, 1923, Mr. Hasty died on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Hasty was a farmer and major supporter of Amazing Facts Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Opal Hurst Hasty; five brothers, Thaddeus Rudolph Hasty, Benard Ephren Hasty, William Absolum Hasty, Marvin Lee Hasty and John Henry Hasty; three sisters, Alleen Levonia Wellman, Dora Bell Milliron and Bernice Irene Davison.

Survivors include a son, Lynnie Hasty of Bascom; a daughter, Dorothy Davis of Valdosta, Ga.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of arrangements.
