Funeral services for Betty Donley Johnson, 74, of Bainbridge, will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Phillips and David Grubbs officiating.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Bobby Donley, Melvin Donley, Greg Rentz, Danny Rentz, Greg Gilbourn, Johnson Parker, Tom Johnson, Donnie Cleveland and Gene Powell serving as active pallbearers.

Born Sept. 11, 1935, in Colquitt, Ga., Mrs. Johnson died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Johnson was a lunchroom worker for the Decatur County School System for 21 years, a seamstress for Dickies for 10 years and a member of West Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. “Bill” Johnson; and two brothers, J. T. Donley and Hilton Donley.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra J. Harrell of Bainbridge; two sons, Billy Johnson of Pelham, Ga., and Tommy Johnson of Bainbridge; a sister, Alice Miller of Casselberry, Fla.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
