Funeral services for Harriett Yvonne Green, 53, of Bainbridge, were held Sunday, Nov. 8, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie James Kegler officiating.
Interment followed in Green-Middleton Cemetery in the Cyrene community with friends and family serving as active pallbearers.
Born June 19, 1956, in Bainbridge, Ms. Green died on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2009, in Virginia.
Ms. Green was an alumnus of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1975. She later obtained a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Albany State University and a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. She was an active member of Mount Zion M.B. Church. She was employed at Shaw Industries for approximately 25 years and had worked for MPRI since 2007.
Survivors include her parents, Harold and Corene Green and Gwendolyn Porter; a son, Tavares Dimarco Green; six sisters, Phyllis Green, Wanda Lockwood, Angela Miller, Cynthia Green, Charlene Green and Michelle Porter; brothers, Kennny Middleton, Clifford Green, Raymond Hopson and Tony Porter; two grandsons, Michah Dimarco Green and Morgan Ivory Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
