Renovation a waste

I feel I must say thank you to Greg Waddell for speaking out at the City Council meeting against renovating City Hall.

At a time when we lay off city workers, how can we justify renovations for costs of $3.5 million to $5 million? I would hope the rest of the Council feels the same. You can bet the laid-off workers and most of the citizens would not favor this wasteful spending.

We could save a lot of money by eliminating the city manager. We would save approximately $150,000 and this would allow the mayor to do his job.
