Ray Guernsey of Bainbridge has been named Southwest Georgia agency manager for Cotton States Insurance.

As agency manager, Guernsey is responsible for helping the agency’s 25 agents serve the individual insurance and financial security needs of area clients.

Guernsey was also recently recognized with two company awards.

The first is the Agent of the Year Southwest Georgia—given to agents who excel in production and professionalism during their first year with the company.

The second is the Inner Circle. Agents named to the Inner Circle excel in all areas of production and service, and are leaders of life insurance sales for the company.

Guernsey began his career with Cotton States Insurance in 2007. He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is also a member of the Cotton States Leadership Council.

Guernsey is a member of the Decatur County Chamber of Commerce and Thomasville Road Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Fla. He, his wife, Vickie, and daughter, Charity, operate The Guernsey Agency. The Guernseys also have three sons, Clint, Matt and Mark. They are in active military duty.
