Nathaniel Dane Eidson was recently promoted to sergeant first class (E-7) in the U.S. Army. Eidson has been in the service for 10 and a half years and is currently on his fourth deployment and third tour in Iraq. He is married to Valerie Sharpton Eidson, and he is the son of Dane and Delores Eidon of Bainbridge, and the son-in-law of Bob and Ruby Sharpton of Bainbridge. They have one son, David Eidson, and Valerie is an eight-grade algebra teacher at a middle school near Fort Hood, Texas. His brother is Jerald Eidson, who is a 2004 West Point graduate and was an Army Ranger.
