The Bainbridge Bearcat Cubs won “Bash at Spring Creek Park” on May 2.

The tournament team, sponsored by Elite Tournament Baseball, competed in the 10 and under wheel-pitch tournament in Colquitt, Ga., where there were teams from Decatur, Miller, Thomas and Seminole counties.

The Cubs won the first game against the Pirates 8-4. Game 2 was another win against the Grand Slams 19-4. Game 3 was a third win for the Cubs against the Thomasville Storm 15-8. Game 4 was a win that sent them to the championship game, with the Cubs defeating the Seminole Indians 22-13. Game 5 was the championship game that the Bearcat Cubs won the tournament with a score of 20-5.

The Cubs will be in the upcoming state championship game in May and the World Series in June.
