On Tuesday, April 28, Bainbridge Public Safety officers, investigators and firefighters toured the new Bainbridge High School. The tour was provided by Head of Maintenance and Construction Jerry Mills. Officers were provided information essential in the case of an emergency. They learned the various different ways to access the building, the layout of the facility and information pertaining to the security system that is in place at the school.
BPS also took several firetrucks, including their new ladder truck which can reach more than 100 feet in the air, to the new facility to familiarize firefighters with the location of water hookups and driving routes. “With the location of Bainbridge Public Safety being so close in proximity to the new high school, it is important for us to know the layout if we need to respond to an emergency,” said Chief Investigator Frank Green.
