Army Sgt. Bridget Cruz-Bianchi is currently serving a 12-month tour in Baghdad, Iraq, with C Company 299th BSB, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, First Infantry Division out of Fort Riley, Kan. She plays a very important role as a combat medic working at Riva Ridge TMC on Camp Liberty by treating sick and wounded soldiers and local nationals. This is her second tour serving in Iraq with the First Infantry Division. Her husband, Army Staff Sgt. Nelson Cruz-Bianchi, is also serving a second tour with his wife as a communications chief for C Company 299th BSB. Sgt. Bridget Cruz-Bianchi is the daughter of Lesia Roberts of Iron City, Ga.
