Bainbridge resident Robert Earl Bobby Walden, former All-Star halfback with the Cairo High School Syrupmakers and record-setting Southeastern Conference punter with the University of Georgia Bulldogs, will have the portion of U.S. 84 in Decatur County from the Grady County line to the traffic light at Whigham Dairy Road named in his honor at a Friday, April 24, at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony at Bainbridge College’s Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center.
