The fourth-grade class from Grace Christian Academy visited the Thronateeska Heritage Center in Albany on March 3. This center provides a learning experience through an interactive science center and museum. The students first toured through the history museum where they learned about the people that helped to build and develop Southwest Georgia. They were introduced to information from the Creek Indians to the bustling railroad. The second tour was of Wetherbee Planetarium, where they were able to study the wonders of space. The third and final exhibit was the science museum. It was here the students had hands-on and visually engaging exhibits in geology, archeology and climatology. Each child was also given an opportunity to see themselves on television.
