The Climax Golden Agers sing-along with Martha Rose Maxwell on the piano and several group singers from New Fountain Head Church recently performed old favorites such as “I’ll Fly Away,” “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.”

Pastor Bruce Hoose of New Fountain Head Church also gave the devotional reading from Romans 14-9, encouraging all to be one of the living of God. He expressed concern for God’s children today with the situation in the world, and reminded all that Christ died and rose for both the living and the dead in Christ. He advised all to become involved in their church because Christ is a living Savior.

Martha Rose Maxwell gave several selections on the piano before J.D. Harrell, Charles Hunt, Pastor Hoose, and his wife, Anna Hoose, joined them with songs to sing along with to end the program.

A new member this month was Abby Williams, and everyone was glad to see Laverne Collins back.

Remembered in prayer due to sickness or other circumstances were Willene McKelvey, Amos and Esther Jones, Linda Lambert, Foy Hobbs, fireman Phillip Kelly, Mrs. Laverne Wilson’s daughter, Wylene, and the unemployed and down-hearted of our nation and the world.

Celebrating birthdays in March were Marjorie Hutchinson, Drucilla Pope, Fannie Wells and Abby Williams.

Winning the door prize was Martha Rose Maxwell.

Congratulations to Chris and Bridget Maloy Tweedy of Omaha, Neb., on the birth of their son, Connor Joseph Tweedy, on March 18. Proud great-grandparents are Paul and Bonnie Maloy of Climax.

Bonnie said, “Good grief, Charlie Brown! We are parents of a grandpa.” The Maloy’s son is Bruce Maloy, also of Omaha.
