The first Downtown Bainbridge Farmer’s Market will be taking place Saturday on the square in Willis Park. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon and subsequent events will be held the first and third Saturday of every month until Nov. 7. Items sold at the market will be fruits, vegetables and flowers. To become a vendor, contact the Dit Albritton, Bainbridge Main Street director, at (229) 248-2000, ext. 119. All growers must grow 50 percent of the produce he or she sells and must have a grower’s permit, which can be obtained from the Cooperative Extension Office.
