Funeral services for Roscoe Williams Jr., 63, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, April 4, at Second St. James M.B.C., with the Rev. Cleveland Sanders officiating.
Interment followed in Mount Tabor Cemetery with George Andrews Jr., Andre Lopes, Frank Andrews, Shadrick Williams, Corey Harrison and Eddie Turner serving as active pallbearers.
Born on Feb. 26, 1946, in Decatur County, Mr. Williams died on March 27, 2009, in Tampa, Fla.
Mr. Williams graduated from Hutto High School in 1964. During his early life, he was a member of Second St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Williams.
Survivors include two sons, Corey Harrison of Bainbridge and Shadrick Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Austel Williams; a sister, Mary Ann Andrews; three grandchildren, several aunts, an uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.
