The Decatur County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee recently held an essay contest for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders on the theme “Georgia Farmers Are My Heroes Because….” This year’s first-place winner is Kayla Williams, second-place winner is Maegan Harrison, and third-place winner is Chelsey Jones, who are all from Dianne Lane’s class at Hutto Middle School.
