Nine bad check cases and 11 driving license violations dominated the State Court sentences that were handled by State Court Judge George Floyd on March 16. The following are the sentences:

• Sharon Anderson, pleaded nolo contendere (PNC—neither admitting or denying charges) bad checks, 12 months probated, $400;

• Cannon Baxter, PNC possession of marijuana, six days jail, 12 months probated, 120 hours community service, $1,000;

• Thomas Dean Blocker, pleaded guilty (PG) driving while license suspended/revoked, 12 months probated, $600;

• Jesus Castillo, PNC driving without license, 12 months probated, $600;

• Brent Deese Connell, PG DUI, 24 hours jail, 12 months probated, 40 hours community service, $750;

• James Cristante, PNC violation of condition of limited permit, six months probated, $250;

• Charles Otis Crump, PG DUI, 24 hours jail, 12 months probated, 40 hours community service, $750; PG driving while license suspended/revoked, 12 months probated consecutive with prior sentence, $600; nolle prossed (NP—dismissed) weaving over roadway;

• Phillip Jack Davis, PG driving while license suspended/revoked, 12 months probated, $750;

• James Perry Hall, PG criminal trespass, 12 months probated, $500;

• Charles Laroy Harrell, PG DUI, 120 days jail, 12 months probated, 30 days community service, $2,000; PG driving while license suspended or revoked, 12 months probated consecutive with prior sentence, $600; PG open container, $200; PG defective taillight, 12 months probated consecutive with prior sentence, $400;

• Kelvin Bernardo Harris, PNC driving while license suspended/revoked, 12 months probated, $600;

• Bianej Hernandez, PNC driving without license, 12 months probated, $600; PNC failure to stop at stop sign, 12 months probated, $250;

• James J. Holloway, PNC speeding, $100;

• Audi L. Hundley, NP DUI; PNC weaving over roadway, 12 months probated, $400;

• Darshan M. Jariwala, PG speeding, 48 hours jail, 12 months probated, 32 hours community service, $450;

• Daron Jones, PNC violation of conditions of limited permit, six months probated, $250;

• Darrin Jones, PG speeding, 12 months probated, 16 hours community service, $350;

• Bobbie Kelly, PG bad checks (14 counts), 12 months probated for each count, $400 for each count; PG bad checks (six counts), 12 months probated for each count, $200 for each count; PG bad checks (six counts), 12 months probated for each count;

• Joy Darlene Layton, PG bad checks (three counts), 12 months probated for each count, $600 for each count;
