Memorial services for George Ronald Pinkard, 54, of Panama City, Fla., will be Friday, March 20, at 6 p.m. at the Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Fla. 

The family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Born on March 23, 1954, in Madison, Fla., Mr. Pinkard died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Panama City, Fla., after a short illness. He was a dedicated employee with Winn-Dixie Corp. for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Tucker Pinkard; three daughters, Jennifer Carter of Naylor, Ga., Christina Foppe of Valdosta, Ga., and Lesley Carter of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two sons, Hugh Lane of Panama City, Fla., and Stephen Lane of Valdosta, Ga.; two brothers, Herjo Pinkard of Live Oak, Fla., and Daniel Pinkard of Panama City, Fla.; six sisters, Annie Lou Holton and Muriel Corbin, both of Madison, Fla., Mary Farr of Lake City, Fla., Reather Luce and Margaret NeSmith, both of Cedar Bluff, Ala., and Pat Williams of Valdosta, Ga.; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers.

Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
