Relay for Life began Saturday morning with cancer survivors taking the first lap of the all-day event. Last year, the event raised more than $65,000, and this year’s goal it to surpass that with $67,000 raised during it. The organizers switched the event from a Friday evening with the activities going all through the night to an event that started Saturday morning and was scheduled to conclude late Saturday night.
