Sharing and caring pleases god

The Bible tells us that God is pleased when we share and care for others.

Hebrews 13:16 tells us, “But to do good and to communicate forget not; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

The purpose of the book of Hebrews is to present the superiority of Christ. There are several writers named in Hebrews as the possible author, Paul, Luke and others. The main focus is not the author, but is to talk about Jesus. Jesus should be our motivation and desire today.

The Bible also tells us that in Him we live, move and breathe and have our being. That is why sharing and caring for others should be continual in our hearts. Hebrews, the 19th Book of the New Testament, is also calling for faithfulness to Jesus. It teaches us about giving, suffering and obedience to Jesus Christ.

In the Book of Acts Chapter 2:44-45, it tells us that we should share what we have with others. The people sold their possessions and divided them among the poor.

Also, Proverbs 22:9 tells us “for he who has a generous eye and shares his food with the poor will be blessed.”

Even in the days of the Old Testament, God’s people always shared.

Two of Adam and Eve’s sons, Cain and Able can be compared when you think about sharing. Cain, you might say was a farmer because he worked the soil. Abel was a herdsman because he kept the flocks. Both of them shared, but Abel cared and shared. Cain just brought anything before the Lord. He shared but did not care. Abel bought the best sacrifice before the Lord because his heart was right. He cared with a loving heart filled with gratitude. Because of Cain’s lack of concern and jealousy, he killed his brother.

There are plenty examples in the Bible to teach us how to care and share. As we grow in our relationship with the Lord, we should become more loving and caring. We will have trials and tribulations, but that is to make us stronger and better, not bitter.

I know from experience that it is a good feeling when you care and share with others. When God blesses us, we are supposed to bless others. Everything thing that we have belongs to God. He just allows us to have these blessings for the short time we are on this earth.

Psalm 24:1 tells us that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Sometimes the Lord puts us to the test to see if our hearts are right before Him. If we can be true to God, we can be true to our fellowman.

During these challenging times in America, we can count it a joy to share and care for others. Although times are hard, this can be an opportunity to help someone in need. We can extend a helping hand to someone who is hurting. There are so many who have lost their jobs and on the brink of committing suicide.

Sometimes an uplifting word is a mean of caring and sharing. We can prepare a hot meal to someone who is hungry. If we take a look around us, we can always find a way to care and to share. You can take the time out to listen to someone who is troubled and offer to pray with them. Never overlook the word of God to share with someone who needs direction. For God is love and we must love in order to care and share.

These are times that we must all pull together and help one another. Jesus left his examples for us to follow. Although the economy fails, His way will never fail. Though heaven and earth may pass away, God said his word will never fail. Remember that caring and sharing pleases God.
