That’s right Bingo Night is coming to the Decatur County Senior Center.

This coming Thursday night, March 5, at 6:30 p.m., you will enjoy a great meal of homemade chili and hot dogs, tea or punch and dessert followed by bingo with some wonderful prizes.

The cost is only $10 per person (adult or child) for supper and two bingo cards. Additional cards will be available for only $2 each.

So come expecting to enjoy yourselves and support your local Senior Center at the same time. Our Senior Center needs the community support to keep open and helping our Decatur County seniors.

The seniors would like to thank the cast and management of Swamp Gravy from Colquitt for coming to the center and putting on a small performance. We enjoyed it very much and look forward to coming to see the entire play later this month. If you haven’t seen Swamp Gravy, it is well worth your time to travel that few miles to enjoy a great live performance by some very talented people.

We want to wish Frances Mott a speedy recovery. We sure are missing her at the center.

We are also still keeping Doris Barbaree in our prayers. And know Doris, your chair is waiting for you to come back and so are we. Also keep Vivian Bush’s son in your prayers that he finds a kidney transplant soon.

The seniors have been busy making bears. As you already know, we sent a load of bears to Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., for Pearson Martin to give to the Children’s Oncology Clinic there, and are now is the process of making a second order of bears for Memorial Pediatrics. The staff there said the bears they received before were a big hit with the children. So know we are in the process of getting more to you.

If any organization would like some of our bears, contact Ms. Dot or Ms. Belinda at the center and we will be glad to accommodate you. Also if anyone has material or stuffing we could use for these bears and would like to donate it, we would love to have it. Thanks in advance.

Monday—Sausage, potatoes, cabbage and roll

Tuesday—Chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, green beans and fruit

Wednesday—Pepper steak, potatoes, winter mix and cake

Thursday—Chili with beans, cream corn, broccoli and muffin

Friday—Baked chicken and rice, tomatoes, green beans and roll
