Younger Cougars win three

The Grace Christian Academy Middle School Cougars boys basketball team won the last three games of their season this past weekend.

The Cougars compete in the Panhandle Christian Conference.

On Friday, Jan. 30, the Cougars went up against Holy Comforter Episcopal School from Tallahassee, Fla. winning with a final score of 15-11.

The continued their winning streak on Saturday when they traveled to Panama City, Fla., to square off against Covenant Christian School and Holy Nativity Episcopal School.

In the first game they picked up another win against Covenant defeating them by a two-point margin, winning 18-16. The Cougars fought hard against Holy Nativity to finish their season strong, winning 22-20.

“I have been really impressed with how these young men have increased their basketball IQ this season and gotten better each game,” said Coach Erwin Harrell. “They practiced hard and it paid off.”
